After searching for the information I needed to start painting I finally found Matt Philleo.
Matt is an amazing artist. He offers numerous classes and his paintings are very realistic.

I kept running into artist that were using oils and I knew that wasn’t for me. I wanted to use acrylics because of the fast drying time and the easy cleanup. I am not a patient person by nature! I didn’t want to wait weeks or months for my work to dry.
I found many, many places that offered instruction on painting portraits in acrylics but few that taught the realistic techniques that Matt teaches. I was thrilled to find out that he offered numerous online courses and that he also was very available on his Facebook group to answer questions. I can honestly say that I don’t think I would be able to paint anything near what I am painting now had I not taken his courses.
I had decided early on that painting portraits would be like a career to me, that I would take it very seriously because I want to be able to master portrait painting and achieve my highest level of skill sets. After all, my paintings would be my legacy for my children and grandchildren. I want them to be treasures.
When I first started it was truly overwhelming. So much to learn! But Matt hung in there with me and even allowed me to drive to his studio and take one-on-one classes from him for a couple of days. He is very patient and kind and made me feel like I could reach my goals over time.
